Wednesday Writing

I was on holiday last week in Wales, in the fabulous resort of Portmeirion. If you've never been or heard of it, it is a very quirky place with lots of colourful buildings of all shapes and sizes joined together with arches and bridges and curiosities of all sorts.





This was the view from the woods 
overlooking the village. 















There was also miles and miles of woodland (I walked about14 miles in total!)

and lots of steps
in the village and
all over the woods.



















Now how does this fit in with writing? I was inspired by the location and am working on a story based around the resort using some of its symbolism. So there will be lion-men, mermaids and fairies and will involve two women fighting over the hero.... And none of them are human!
