Naughty Christmas Present

My latest book is OUT! It’s the second in the Naughty Xmas series and features a Siren and a Troll.

According to Wikipedia this is the definition of a siren from mythology:

In Greek mythology, the Sirens (Greek singular: Σειρήν Seirēn; Greek plural: Σειρνες Seirēnes) were dangerous creatures, who lured nearby sailors with their enchanting music and singing voices to shipwreck on the rocky coast of their island.

However, in my story, the Siren lives in the city. Unfortunately she sings when she climaxes....and her voice is deadly! (Literally).

The creature in love with her is a troll. Wikipedia describes them as:

dangerous to human beings. Depending on the source, their appearance varies greatly; trolls may be ugly and slow-witted, or look and behave exactly like human beings, with no particularly grotesque characteristic about them.

In Naughty Christmas Present my troll is indeed ugly, but very muscular (imagine Arnold Schwarzenegger) and he is in no way slow witted! Gren desires the lovely Ligia but how can he have her when she could be his death?

Naughty Xmas series

As I said on Wednesday, I have a new book coming out in the Naughty Xmas series. I'll tell you more about the new book next week, but in the meantime I promised to give you some more info on the paranormal world the stories are set in.

All stories will be set in a city (imagine New York) where the humans are blissfully unaware that paranormal creatures are all about them.

Whilst  'Naughty Christmas Wishes' was set partly in the human home of the heroine of the story, it also had half the scenes in Pogue's bar where the new story 'Naughty Christmas Present' is entirely set.

As described in 'Naughty Christmas Wishes' Pogue's Bar is "a tall thin building which had hotel rooms above. It was sandwiched at the end of a street between a store and a wall...... it always amazed her that humans just didn't seem to notice the building where all sorts of paranormal creatures came and went with no one noticing.

Fay snorted. Humans were nore blinkered than reindeer at times."

I got the idea for the name of this bar because in 'Naughty Christmas Wishes' I included tons of references to Christmas songs (if you haven't worked it out think of The Pogues who sang 'Fairytale of New York').

Pogue's Bar is run by a hunky Troll called Gren (there's your first clue to book two 'Naughty Christmas Present'!!)

'Naughty Christmas Wishes' was my first attempt at a paranormal story outside of werewolves and concentrated on a fairy and four elves although other secondary creatures included an angel, a siren, a valkyrie, and a troll.

I had fun considering how the paranormal world would differ, for instance Fay makes a remark that the human habit of hanging stockings by the fireplace was against paranormal health and safety rules! LOL

Fay also hates tinsel as she always gets tangled in it when she is put back in her family's 'Christmas box' every year.

And when her human made the comment that people put their decorations up far too early, that meant Fay had to stay in her box for longer than usual! (I always put my decorations up early!)

Come back on Monday to find out all about the new book 'Naughty Christmas Present' which is due out on 6 December.

Naughty Xmas

Hi everyone

I'M BACK!

I am restarting my blog because I have a book out on 6 December - my first book for two and a half years!

It's the next in the Naughty Xmas series so before I tell you about the new story I thought I'd remind you all of the Naughty Xmas stories which is a series of short paranormal stories set at Christmas

The first book was Naughty Christmas Wishes about a fairy from the top of the Xmas tree - Fay - who is rejected by her human family and she goes off to drown her woes in Pogue's Bar (a bar for paranormal creatures in the heart of the city).

Whilst there she sees four GORGEOUS elves and makes a wish that they would notice her... then another wish they she could spend the night with them!

Here's a (naughty) excerpt:

So how exactly does four into one go?
They had arrived in the hotel room on the second floor. There was a huge bed in the room—triple king size, she reckoned! Fay wasn't sure if all four of her elves were staying in that room or if it was just one of them.
An arm wrapped around her waist. She looked up and smiled. It was King, not surprisingly. Fay had come to realize it was he who was the leader of this little band of handsome elves.
"So, my lovely, we can do this any number of ways."
I'll bet!
"You can have just one of us and the rest will leave you to it."
Fay tried not to show her dismay.
"Or you can have one of us at a time while the others watch."
That’s more like it. But she was still a little disappointed.
“Or all of us at the same time.”

This was one of my favourite books to write. I had such fun dreaming it up.

Here's a five star review from Amazon:

"A delightful lighthearted story about a Christmas Fairy and four elves..... a very adult version of Christmas wishes, almost tongue in cheek. There are two sentences in the book that sum it up nicely. Be careful what you wish for and how do four elves go into one fairy. A fun lusty read."

It can purchased on amazon.com

Come back on Friday to find out more about Pogue's Bar and the paranormal world that Fay and her fairies live in.
