Today’s
inspirational author is Liv Honeywell who I met at Eroticon last year and who
did a terrific reading at ‘Smut by the Sea’ in the Spring. Tell us about
yourself, Liv.
Thanks,
Jen. When not writing about delicious, hot male dominants and the female subs
who love them, I’m usually doing something craft-like, reading, baking, eating
the results of said baking, and attempting to satisfy the demands of His High
and Mighty Dominance (the cat!). My first story, Imagine, was published in 2012
and since then I’ve published Coming, Ready or Not and The Journal, which was
written with Domitri Xavier and was winner of Turning the Pages Erotica Book of
the Year in 2013. I’m working on several books at once as usual, and trying to
decide which of my other book ideas to work on next!
About You
What do you do when you’re not
writing?
I enjoy going to the
cinema and theatre, do a lot of reading, spending time with my friends and love
dining out. I do yoga and tai chi and have an exercise bike to attempt to keep
fit. If I lived nearer to one, I’d visit the beach a lot too.
If you had one item to take into the bedroom with you what would it be?
A really
imaginative, inventive Dom can do so much even without any toys, so if I could
only pick one thing, it would probably be a violet wand.
(It’s on my ‘to do’ list to try a violet wand!)
Name three people you would like to be shipwrecked with (and why)?
Robert Downey Jr,
Chris Hemsworth and Harrison Ford. You really need to ask why? ;)
(haha!)
Your Writing
Is there any trivia about your latest/forthcoming story that you can share with us?
Yes. I’m writing the
first one in a new series at the moment about three brothers (all Dom,
naturally J) and the inspiration for the books came
from watching Craig McLachlan, who used to be in the Aussie soap, Neighbours,
in a new series called The Doctor Blake Mysteries. He used to play a blond
surfer type in Neighbours and he didn’t do a thing for me at all in that show,
but in the new one, he quite often has a wonderful Domly stare – you know, the
kind that can see right through you and whatever you’re up to – and that, plus
someone’s Facebook comment about celebrities, just set me off thinking about
all sorts of ideas which resulted in a whole book and then a series, which I
really wasn’t expecting. I love it when that happens!
(I love Craig, too!)
When did you write your first book (and is it published)?
I wrote a full
length novel years ago in 2006 when I first did NaNoWriMo and it’s a completely
vanilla cosy chick lit with a thriller element. I haven’t polished it up and
got it ready to publish yet but I will one day, hopefully in the next year or
two.
What are you currently working on, or what’s on the horizon?
I’m part way through
the first one of the brothers series I mentioned before. I keep calling it that
because I still don’t have a title, which is unusual for me. I usually think of
the title quite early on.
I have some kinky
short stories on the go which I’m writing with my friend, Cochrane Gage, and
I’ve also got another series in mind which is set in a fencing club and I’m
hoping to write the first one of those this year too.
Then there’s a
series of vanilla cosy thrillers under another name, and… Well, I really could
go on, but I’m sure you get the idea.
Quick Fire round
Tall skinny men or short but
muscular?
Short and muscular
(but my ideal is tall, with a rugby player build ;))
A juicy grilled steak with garlic butter or vanilla & raspberry cheesecake with white chocolate?
Steak! I don’t like
raspberries, otherwise it would have been the dessert.
George Clooney or Brad Pitt?
George Clooney. Yumm

And an extract from your book
Here’s an excerpt
from Coming, Ready or Not! Three Tales of Tease and Denial. Will is refusing to
let Abby come and Abby is really trying her best not to:
I close my eyes, screwing them up tightly, concentrating so hard on not going over the edge, not coming. But that is worse. In the blackness behind my eyelids, there are no distractions from your touch, from what you are doing to me. Too easy to focus only on those torturing fingers.
I close my eyes, screwing them up tightly, concentrating so hard on not going over the edge, not coming. But that is worse. In the blackness behind my eyelids, there are no distractions from your touch, from what you are doing to me. Too easy to focus only on those torturing fingers.
I open my eyes and look away from you, not at you.
That would be too much, to look into your eyes and see how much you are
enjoying this, to know that even if I beg it will make no difference until you
are ready.
You stop, thankfully, mercifully.
Oh I wish you would carry on, wish you would give
me release, but I am also grateful for the pause, the break. The faint chance
that I might be able to collect myself and hold on.
I get only a short respite and then you begin
again. This time you start off by teasing my nipples, squeezing my bottom,
spanking my pussy hard – just your hand this time, no crop, but the effect is
the same.
I know! Think about work! That should help if
anything should. Boring spreadsheets in the office, works of art hanging on the
walls. I try to go round the gallery and name
all the artists. It makes no difference. No matter how hard I try, all I can
think about is you painting red hot, angry strokes on my skin.
And then my worst nightmare happens. I feel your
breath on my inner thighs, your tongue flicking over the now crimson skin of my
pussy. You lick ever so gently all round the edge of my labia and then your
tongue plunges inside me and I cry out.
“Oh Sir. Please, Sir.”
Your finger presses against my clit again, and you
look up long enough to say, once more. “Not yet. Don’t you dare.”
You don’t think you’re going to be thinking about
the laundry and DIY in the middle of sex, do you? Painting the hall, plastering
the kitchen? It never occurs to you that you’d think about any such things.
Perhaps your parents might do that, but not you, oh no.
And yet, here I am, mentally counting and pairing
socks while the evil, sadistic love of my life licks me so delicately inside
and out; his tongue lapping at my clit, sucking it and... No! Don’t think about
that. Socks! Green ones, blue ones, black ones, the pink ones with the little
white flowers (mine, not Will’s!). Think about so… sock… No. Oh no. Ohhhhh.
Nooo.
“Soooooooooooooocks,” I yell, as if my life depends
on it.
Oh no. Please no.
Silence.
I open one eye, cautiously, and then the other, to
find myself nose to nose with my tormentor.
“I’m sorry,” I blurt. “I’m so sorry, Sir.”
“Did you just come? Did you just dare to come
without my permission?”
“Yes, Sir. I’m sorry. I really am.”
Your lips twitch ever so slightly.
“And what was that you just yelled?"
I blush and squirm on the, by now, sopping chair.
"Erm, nothing, Sir. Nothing at all."
"Did you just yell 'sucks'?"
"No, Sir. I…Not sucks. Socks."
"Socks. I see. Well, okay then. Why…? No,
actually, I’m not even going to ask."
You can’t keep your face straight any longer and
let out a roar of laughter.
I can’t help it. I know I’m in trouble but I start
to laugh too.
You put your arms around me and hold me close,
shoulders still shaking with laughter.
Finally, the laughter subsides and you growl close
to my ear, “You do know you’re going to pay, don’t you?”
“Yes, Sir. I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to.”
“I know you didn’t, but you’re still going to pay.”
Thank you for joining

ReplyDeleteI think your brother series sounds hot! Get cracking!
Awww, thanks Casey. So do I :).
DeleteI'm loving writing the brothers series. Such fun! I'm on Rosanna Leo's blog tomorrow with a reveal of the actors I picked for inspiration. Definitely hot :)
