Something you never knew about me:
I nearly drowned as a five year old when my brother’s girlfriend took me
to the swimming pool (my first visit) and told me to jump in. Which I did, not
realising there was a shallow end and a deep end….
It was like something from ‘The Water Babies’, I saw bubbles rising in
front of my face and then a big hand came down to pull me up!

Wow! I'd be interesed to know, is the memory frightening, or is it distanced by time? And can you swim happily now?
